Embracing Our Impact: Reflections on Ajeeb Design Fest

The heartfelt messages and support received after Ajeeb Design Fest highlighted the profound impact of our work and the overwhelming gratitude we felt for the creative community's appreciation.

As creatives, many of us have a tendency to downplay our contributions and achievements in the industry. We've all experienced this, whether we acknowledge it or not.

Personally, I've faced this feeling many times. Ajeeb Design Fest was a transformative event. It featured interactive workshops, insightful keynotes, and most importantly, fostered a budding creative community. Just hours after the festival ended, I received my first message from a creative who attended. I remember lying in bed, listening to a heartfelt voice note on Instagram. I played it over and over. Then, more messages started pouring in, and to be honest, many of them brought me to tears. There's nothing quite like being told you've made a difference in someone's life. Hearing that something you said resonated deeply with someone is overwhelming and profoundly moving. The only words that come to mind are overwhelmed and grateful.

In the weeks following the festival, the Ajeeb Studio team and I were still buzzing from the adrenaline and euphoria of pulling off Pakistan's first design festival. Some of us took well-deserved trips to the mountains (I'm still hoping for mine), others caught up on sleep, and a few dove back into work at the studio. Despite this, the creative community continued to shower us with love and appreciation, creating short films, reels, animations, and posts. They took full ownership of Ajeeb Design Fest and, by extension, our team. These messages remind me why we create the way we do. The creative industry is brimming with support and love; it just needs a place to channel it.

I'm proud to say that Ajeeb Design Fest was that place. Here's to more in the future.
